What we collect

Account information

When you sign up, we collect your email address and password (hashed, never stored in plain text). During setup, we also collect your date of birth, country, and preferred currency — these are needed to run accurate simulations.

Financial plan data

Everything you enter into Montia — income, expenses, investments, property, retirement plans — is stored in your account so your plans persist across sessions. This is data you create manually. We never connect to your bank or any external financial account.

Payment information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details. Stripe handles all payment data under its own privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy.

Analytics

We use DataFast and Vercel Analytics to understand general usage patterns (pages visited, session duration). These tools collect anonymized, aggregated data. No personal data is shared with advertisers.

Cookies

We do not use advertising cookies.

How we use your data

• Account data — to authenticate you and personalize the app.
• Plan data — to run simulations and save your plans. We do not analyze, sell, or share your plan data.
• Payment data — to verify your purchase and grant access.
• Analytics data — to improve the product. Aggregated and anonymous.

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties.

Your rights

• Delete your account — email support@montia.app and we'll permanently delete your account and all plan data within 30 days.
• Export your data — email us and we'll provide a copy.
• Opt out of analytics — enable Do Not Track in your browser or use an ad-blocker to block analytics scripts.

Data retention

Your data is retained while your account is active. After deletion, all data is permanently removed within 30 days.

Changes

If we make material changes, we'll notify you via email or in-app notice.
